BONFIX - Novel Solution for Hallux Valgus
The company is developing a minimally invasive hallux valgus correction device. Hallux valgus is a common deformity of the foot, involving overgrowth of the bone on the inside of the great toe and caused difficulty in shoe usage. The current treatment option involves osteotomies and manipulation of bone fragments. It often requires a large incision. The purpose of the currently developed system is to replace this operation, with a minimally invasive procedure, that allows ambulatory surgery and minimal functional limitations.
This project was licenses to Bonfix, a Mor and Van Leer company.
